Education Qualifications

Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
>10+2 or equivalent
>Typing Skill – English (35 WPM) or Hindi (30 WPM)
>Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Junior Stenographer (JST):
>10+2 or equivalent
>Stenography – Dictation @ 80 WPM (English / Hindi)

Age Limit
>JSA: 28 years (as on 20th May 2025)
>JST: 27 years

Age Relaxation:
>SC/ST: 5 years
>OBC: 3 years
>PwBD: 10-15 years
>Ex-servicemen & Widows: 3–5 years

CSIR-NAL Selection Process
For Junior Secretariat Assistant:

>Written Test:
Paper I: Mental Ability (100 Questions, 200 Marks)
>Paper II: General Awareness & English (100 Questions, 300 Marks)
>Typing Test: Qualifying nature

For Junior Stenographer:
>Written Exam:I & Reasoning, GA, English (Total 200 Marks)
>Stenography Test: Dictation @ 80 WPM
